Équité Association a publié aujourd’hui son Rapport sur les tendances de 2024 en matière de vol d’automobiles, qui démontre une diminution continue à l’échelle nationale après des années de sommets historiques. Le déclin de 18,6 % (cumul annuel) du vol d’automobiles à l’échelle du pays est dû à des efforts collectifs et des mesures concrètes prises par les principaux intervenants tout au long de l’année. More than $9 million will be given to provincial, territorial and municipal police forces through the Contribution Program to Combat Serious and Organized Crime (CPCSOC), another $3.5 million will go to INTERPOL’s joint transnational vehicle crime project, and $2.4 million will be used for the government to continue to engage its domestic and international partners to ensure a coordinated response to Canada’s auto theft crisis.
