2024 was a year extraordinary achievements for Équité and our members. We strengthened our reputation through deeper engagement and collaboration with key government, law enforcement and industry stakeholders. We also amplified awareness of the evolving insurance crime landscape in Canada and continued making strategic investments in groundbreaking technology, data and analytics.

2024 Accomplishments

Another record-breaking year: Over 1,900 stolen vehicles were recovered at the Ports of Montreal, Saint John, and Halifax, valued at approximately $87 million.

2024 saw an increase in port projects and initiatives, demonstrating the unwavering dedication of Équité and our partners to protecting Canadians and combating insurance crime

In a significant step towards enhancing industry fraud detection capabilities, by the end of 2024, Équité successfully onboarded major insurance leaders to our proprietary ÉQ Insights platform

ÉQ Insights uses ground-breaking predictive analytics and machine learning to detect and prevent insurance crime.

Canadian media continued to recognize Équité spokespeople in major news articles in 2024.

Over 2,400 stories and 260 interviews featuring Équité reinforced our role as the national authority on insurance crime and the media’s go to resource for expert insights.

We delivered over $153 million in direct member value from auto and commercial cargo theft, recoveries, Investigation Coordination and Support Services (ICSS), and analytics in 2024. Additionally, we identified more than $1.4 million of insured, fraudulently re-VINed vehicles.
